On Wednesday of our first week, we will travel by bus to the shores of the gorgeous Lake Atitlan. We will stop along the way to visit the Iximche Mayan ruins.

We will spend two nights at the beautiful Hotel Porta del Lago, while in Panajachel.

On Thursday we will take a boat tour around Lake Atitlan, and will spend time exploring the village of San Antonio Palopo, with the non-profit organization, Mayan Families. When we return to Pana, we will visit their feeding centre, as well as their preschool and elderly care programs.

On Friday, we will have the chance to take a tuk tuk ride to visit the local nature/ziplining park. While some people might choose to walk around the nature reserve, others might choose to zipline down the 8 zips. It's an amazing experience!!

We will also have plenty of time to explore the town and it's very busy shopping street, and eat at some wonderful restaurants.
